Program Overview
Join this two-week intensive summer program and explore the fundamentals and applications of semiconductor technologies. This program combines in-depth lectures and practical hands-on sessions, designed for students in science and engineering fields.

Scholarship
We provide partial scholarships for eligible participants. Each student may receive a tuition waiver (NT$10,000) , accommodation waiver (NT$10,000) or a scholarship amount up to NT$40,000
(*Final decision at the discretion of the organizing center
*Accommodation subsidy: up to NTD 10,000, applicable only for students staying in NCHU dormitories from August 10 to 23, 2025. Students who choose to arrange their own lodging will need to cover those costs independently.
*Flight subsidy: up to NTD 15,000).

Day 2 | IC Design | Circuits with Arduino(II) |
Day 3 | Semiconductor Materials | Photomask Design & Pattering Sample Preparation Techniques |
Day 4 | Thin Film Technology | Lithography, Etching & Deposition Processes |
Day 5 | Solar Cell Semiconductor Devices | Optical Microscope (OM) & Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) |
Week 2 | Morning 9-12am Lecture | Afternoon 2-5pm Hand-on |
Day 6 | Green Technology | Packaging and Testing |
Day7 | Green Manufacturing | Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) |
Day 8 | Semiconductor Manufacturing | Packaging & Testing application (ICPMS) |
Day 9 | Semiconductor Devices | Cultural Visit: National Museum of Natural Science (NMNS) –“ TSMC Semiconductor World “ Visit |
Day 10 | Future Semiconductor Technologies | Lab Report and Group Presentations |
Eligibility:
- Current junior/senior undergraduate or graduate students in science and engineering fields.
- Limited to 30 participants.
Scholarship
We provide partial scholarships for eligible participants. Each student may receive a tuition waiver (NT$10,000) , accommodation waiver (NT$10,000) or a scholarship amount up to NT$40,000

Self-Funded Expenses
- Tuition Fee: NT$10,000 (waived for students from partner universities).
- Accommodation Fee: NT$10,000.
- Other Costs: Airfare, visa, travel insurance, meals, and personal expenses are self-funded.
Application Requirements
- Completed application form.
- Letter certifying student’s enrollment at their home university.
- Proof of English proficiency: TOEIC score of 600 or above (or equivalent certification).

Key Dates

- Notification of Results: June 1, 2025
- The program will be conducted entirely in English. Participants must have an English proficiency level of TOEIC 600 or above.
